Kerchief

KERCHIEF. KJV, ASV rendering of מִּסְפָּחֹ֛ות (RSV VEILS) in Ezekiel 13:18, 21, where it alone occurs. It is found in a passage dealing with divination which required the head to be covered. It is not known what kerchiefs looked like or how they were used, but apparently they were veils varying in length with the height of the wearer and were worn by those who consulted the seers.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

Occurs only in Eze 13:18,21, in a passage which refers to some species of divination. Their exact shape or use is unknown. They were apparently long veils or coverings put over the heads of those consulting the false prophetesses and reaching down to the feet, for they were for "persons of every stature."
